Consumer attorney Peter T. Lane joined Schlanger & Schlanger, LLP as an associate in September 2010. Peter’s practice focuses on consumer protection and debt related issues, including bankruptcy.
Peter joins our firm after working previously on consumer protection issues, including FDCPA litigation, collection defense and consumer bankruptcy at Bromberg Law Office, P.C.
Peter graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2008, and was awarded a post-graduate fellowship to work at the New York State Office of the Attorney General. He received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in 1993.
Before graduating from law school, Peter spent 13 years working at the Legal Aid Society of New York City as a pre-sentencing mitigation specialist and investigator in the Criminal Defense Practice. Peter is admitted to practice in both New York and Massachusetts. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the New York State Bar Association.
